The ©orruption of an Innocent Baby Girl Genius

Natalie, a teacher and mom to a child savant, is disturbed with her kid’s new obsession in illegal pirating. This is a Public Service Announcement to promote creator’s rights and the protection of copyrighted content. It placed Top 3 in the Canadian Copyright Collective's Reel Challenge 2011. YIPPEE!

Wet Wool

Wet Wool follows Paul Furner’s quest to live an open life out of his closet of repression. This short film was completed at the CFC. We had two weeks to prepare and arrange it and one day to shoot.

Guido

Guido tells the story of an aging man trying to ensure his family is protected before he can no longer act. His lifelong friend comes along to help. What follows will test their values and their friendship. This short film was completed at the CFC. We had two weeks to prepare and arrange it and two days to shoot.

Naughty Girls Need Love Too

This short film is intended to be a preview of a feature film in development. It was one of the most challenging shoots I’ve ever experienced. We shot it in a 6 hr window and had a short editing scheduling. HUGE KUDOS to all who worked on it!

Dance (CFC 4 hour exercise)

Dance is a story about a new flyer (with a contagious joy for life) that is met with a tragic accident. This exercise was completed at the CFC and was an interesting challenge as the editor and I were not allowed to speak to the writer about the script. The goal was to see how we would interpret the film just by reading the written words. In addition, I did not meet the actors or speak to any crew before I stepped on to the set. Hey, it gets better – we were only allotted three actors and we had only five hours to shoot this film. FUN!

Talking Trash (CFC 4 hour exercise)

Talking Trash tells the story of a school janitor who has a gift with “helping” the teaching staff through their personal problems. This exercise was completed at the CFC and was a similar challenge as Dance; the editor and I were not allowed to speak to the writer about the script. The goal was to see how we would interpret the film just by reading the written words. On this one it turns out I interpreted a drama as a comedy (rock on!). I did not meet the actors or speak to any crew before I stepped on to the set. In addition to only being allotted two actors, we had only four hours to shoot this film. Good Times!
